Socialization & Grooming

Introduction

Socialization is a very important process to accustom puppies to people and other animals (especially other puppies and dogs) while overcoming any fear or anxiety. A well socialized puppy will become a friendly and outgoing pet.

Unfortunately, the window of opportunity to socialize a puppy is relatively short, typically between the ages of 5 and 12 weeks. The socialization process begins at the breeder, where puppies stay with their mother and litter mates for canine contact, and receive individual attention to acclimate them to handling and petting. It is important for you to continue this process in the store by allowing puppies to play together and providing lots of tender loving care.
